The Engineering Rapid Build Services (ERBS) department within Hardware Engineering is chartered to deliver quick-turn procurement and engineering manufacturing services. ERBS executes high-mix/low-rate procurement and fabrication activities with a focus on in-house electro-mechanical packaging, support equipment and liquid cooling systems integration, and partner with outside suppliers to satisfy all demands. We strive to minimize cycle times and provide best value through the utilization of dynamic and agile processes.

This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Summer 2026.

What You Will Do

You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving to resolve build issues identified on the lab floor related to product inconsistencies or documentation errors

You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment

Qualifications You Must Have

Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
