DESCRIPTION OF WORK You will attend classroom training and receive on-the-job training to develop the necessary skill set to provide non-professional direct nursing care to mentally and physically ill patients. You will educate, encourage, and assist patients in all activities of daily living. Other duties include carrying out daily individualized patient treatment plans, providing routine physical care to patients, positioning patients while utilizing approved lifting techniques, escorting patients on and off hospital grounds, responding to emergencies, acting as a patient advocate, and performing other related duties.

Work hours during training are 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM). Work hours after training are 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) 30 minute lunch. May change based on operational needs. Rotating on and off days including weekends and holidays. Overtime as needed. Multiple positions may be filled from this posting. FREE PARKING! Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $37,660.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: No previous experience needed, training provided. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
