We are looking for a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Elmhurst, Illinois. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting functions while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate expertise in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting key accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries with precision to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Manage month-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations and the creation of supporting schedules.

Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

Assist in audit preparation by organizing pertinent documentation and delivering required analyses.

Support fixed asset and lease accounting processes, adding value to these specialized areas.

Utilize NetSuite for processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and generating reports.

Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Collaborate with team members to facilitate general accounting and finance initiatives.

Communicate effectively across departments to gather necessary information and address issues promptly.

The hourly pay range for this position is $28.84 to $36/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience as a staff accountant, with expertise in journal entries, month-end closing, and account reconciliations.

Familiarity with audit processes and the ability to prepare supporting documentation.

Knowledge of lease accounting or fixed asset accounting is highly desirable.

Proficiency in NetSuite is a strong advantage.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative work style.
