Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contracts Attorney to join our legal team. This role is critical in reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of contracts, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreements, and consulting agreements. You will ensure all contract terms comply with legal, regulatory, policy, and business requirements while balancing risk and business needs.

Working under the guidance of the General Counsel, you will help streamline contracting processes, implement standard templates, and support cross-functional teams across the Bank. This position requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, SaaS agreements, and amendments.

Manage legal redlining and negotiations to achieve timely resolution.

Implement standardized processes, templates, and guidelines to improve contract workflows.

Advise General Counsel and senior leadership on contractual rights, obligations, and risks.

Conduct legal research and support special projects related to vendor risk, compliance, and contract management.

Assist with contract lifecycle management, including tracking, renewal, and termination.

Collaborate with Vendor Management on risk assessments, due diligence, and contract database maintenance.

Provide weekly status updates to General Counsel and Vendor Management.

Support development and optimization of Vendor Management software systems.

Assist with non-contract legal matters as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Member of Massachusetts Bar in good standing, with no prior incidents.

3-5+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in SaaS, BaaS, and eCommerce industries.

Banking experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), SharePoint, and legal technology platforms.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across functions.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
