Are you looking for a temporary job during the holiday season? Texas Panhandle Centers is hiring for Caregiversresponsible for supporting our clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home and daily activities. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal entry-level position for those with a caring nature and a desire to help others.

This position will require at least one major holiday to be worked. Employment will be temporary from November 2025 - January 2026, with opportunities to be a part-time or full-time staff member after. Please see the attached flyer.

Position: Seasonal Caregiver

Location:Amarillo, Texas

Salary:$16.55/hr.

Shifts: As needed on the following major holidays

Thanksgiving

Day after Thanksgiving

Christmas Eve

Christmas Day

New Years Day

Essential duties and responsibilities of the Caregiver:

Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language

The Caregiver performs direct care for persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a residential setting for male or female residents

The Caregiver is responsible for training, transporting, preparation of meals, feeding, bathing, toileting, medication administration and maintaining a safe and clean environment for the residents, and other duties associated with daily living

Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

Required qualifications of the Caregiver to be successful in the job:

No experience required

Either a high school diploma; or GED; or three written professional letters of recommendation and the completion of competency tests

One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE)
