Mechanical Engineer - Delivery

Responsible for providing all project deliverables on time and meeting project requirements as defined by key stakeholders (business/Product Line/group/clients)

Plan and budget resources for product and technology projects.

Responsible for hiring team members with the appropriate skill set targeted to the technical requirements of the project.

Plans and supervises the work of team members necessary to address product Bill of Material issues, product redesign timelines, troubleshooting internal product quality problems, product failure investigations, material specification maintenance, and product-related operations issues.

Works with the team members to identify and organize the best approach to executing the tasks required for the project and takes full responsibility for the detailed project plan and resources.

Ensures that his/her team follows the applicable Product Development Process and adheres to all relevant Standards and Procedures.

Delivers the product or technology at the necessary level of quality to respect the requirements established by the business stakeholders (eg. requirements, timeline & development budget).

Maintains financial authority for the specific project, controlling overall spend within project budgetary constraints.

Provides technical documentation from the team that describes proven solutions for the project, including design files, technical drawings and specifications documents as required by the EMS management system.

Interfaces directly with stakeholders, including external clients, providing prompt and efficient reporting of project activities.

Monitors and guides good working practices relating to QHSE, technical rigor, professional behavior and performance of the assigned team.

Maintains the necessary level of expertise for self and team through training and development as appropriate for the execution of the project.

Sets annual objectives and performs regular appraisals of performance for the each of the assigned team members.

Degree (BS, B,Eng) or advanced Degree (MS, PhD) in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.

He/She will typically have a minimum of 5 years industrial experience, with preferably at least 2 years' experience in Sustaining or Engineering, as well as some experience in a supervisory role (eg. Team Leader). He/She shall have demonstrated strong organizational abilities and interpersonal skills, as well as solid technical competency.
