As a Security Officer - Bank Access Control in Totowa, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents within the location. You will provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence to assist employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials for employees, visitors, and vendors according to site-specific policies.

Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and protocols to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.

Provide customer service by greeting and assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related threats and identify any unusual activity.

Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.

Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency response personnel when necessary, providing accurate information as requested.

Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment within the financial institution.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
