Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Shakopee, Minnesota. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, who thrives in a manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting inventory management processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Record and reconcile journal entries to ensure financial data integrity.

Manage and maintain the general ledger by performing regular analysis and updates.

Support inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations.

Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

Conduct audits and ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax return preparation and compliance.

Strong knowledge of journal entries and financial reconciliation.

Proficiency in managing and maintaining general ledger accounts.

Familiarity with inventory accounting and financial reporting.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
