Job Title: Medical Office Assistant

Job Description

As a vital member of the patient care team, you will assist providers and nursing staff with daily office duties, supporting a high standard of care in our cardiology practice.

Responsibilities

Perform specific duties that support patient care, including taking vitals and conducting client intake.

Room patients and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

Work in an outpatient setting, providing exceptional service and care to all patients.

Essential Skills

Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) diploma.

1+ years of experience in medical assisting, but entry-level candidates will also be considered.

Proficiency in patient care, triage, and EKG.

Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in cardiology is a plus.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is advantageous.

Experience with electronic health records and stress testing is beneficial.

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced cardiology office that is family-oriented but can be busy at times. The main office location may require occasional travel to Middletown or Cheshire. The work hours are Monday to Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
