RMC is undergoing a period of exciting transformation - expanding staff capacity, implementing new service models, modernizing business processes, and streamlining technology solutions.
The Accounting Support Clerk provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Research Management Compliance department, with a focus on document management and scanning, and maintains accurate paper and digital files while ensuring confidentially. This role ensures that financial documents are accurately filed, archived, captured, organized, and accessible, supporting efficient workflow and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Additionally, the role includes sorting and routing emails to the appropriate team members, distributing physical mail, answering and routing phone calls, and performing other administrative tasks to support the team under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Operate scanners and related office equipment to digitize physical documents
Ensure documents are scanned with high clarity and correct formatting
Verify scanned files for accuracy and completeness
Label, categorize, and upload digital files into the appropriate systems
Handle confidential information with discretion
Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions as needed.
Review documents for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
Route communications to appropriate team member
Distribute, collect, and send physical mail
Maintain department outlook calendar
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Accounting Support Clerks, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
