Receptionist & Switchboard Position Profile

Provides exceptional service to the business by greeting and assisting all visitors, as well as answering and transferring incoming calls from across the United States.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Greet the public and provide assistance as needed.

Distribute name badges to visitors, temporary employees, etc.

Schedule meeting rooms for all departments.

Answer and transfer calls from across the United States.

Participate enthusiastically in company and community service events.

Perform light administrative duties.

Provide PC support and administrative assistance as needed.

Act as a model for the company's Vision, Values, and Mission.

Build professional relationships with customers and other teams.

Ensure timely updates of:

Company phone and speed dial lists

Brag Board

Company Calendar

Update the automated messaging center daily.

Assist Administration or other teams with various tasks (e.g., envelope labels, compiling manuals).

Order, maintain, and distribute promotional items for the Promotional Store.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

High school diploma or equivalent.

1+ years of prior switchboard experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.

Strong customer service skills.

Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands

Office environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature/noise levels.

Work assignments are diversified; ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material and instructions.

Some physical effort required: primarily sedentary work with occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.

Moderate dexterity: regular use of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
