Description We are looking for an organized and personable Receptionist to join a CPA firm in Santa Barbara, California. This contract position provides an excellent opportunity to assist with administrative tasks and client interactions during tax season. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, proficiency in office software, and a proactive attitude to enhance daily operations.

Responsibilities:

Greet clients and visitors with professionalism, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Manage a multi-line phone system, directing inbound calls appropriately.

Perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and scheduling.

Utilize software tools like Lacerte, Microsoft Word, and Excel to complete tasks efficiently.

Provide customer service support by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues.

Assist in coordinating office activities during tax season.

Maintain organized records and documentation for client files.

Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless office operations.

Support tax preparation processes as needed.

Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of receptionist or administrative assistant experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Lacerte Tax Software is a plus.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.

Experience managing a multi-line phone system.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Bilingual capabilities are preferred but not required.

Ability to work Monday through Thursday outside tax season and Monday through Friday during tax season.
