Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial processes, including billing, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect all financial transactions.

Perform bank account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Handle billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

Oversee accounts payable functions, including vendor payments and expense tracking.

Collaborate with team members to meet monthly and annual closing deadlines.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making processes.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial records and streamline processes.

Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including billing, accounts payable, and reconciliations.

Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entry processes.

Experience with bank account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Strong analytical skills to interpret and utilize financial data.

Familiarity with accounting standards and practices.
