Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Baytown, Texas. In this Contract to permanent employment position, you will play an essential role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in high-volume environments, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and is eager to contribute to a dynamic and evolving workplace.

Responsibilities:

Perform precise data entry in Excel, ensuring the accuracy of ticket, invoice, and payment information.

Process payments to haul vendors for material deliveries, adhering to approved pricing and project guidelines.

Maintain organized digital records by indexing haul tickets and related documents using OnBase.

Reconcile financial data by verifying entries and comparing reports to ensure balance accuracy.

Assist with the processing and payment reconciliation of incoming material payables.

Respond to inquiries from vendors and department managers, providing thorough and timely answers.

Manage databases containing haul vendor agreements and insurance details.

Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, high-volume environment to achieve team goals.

Adapt to evolving business processes and take on additional responsibilities as directed.

Exhibit flexibility and a proactive approach to taking on future assignments as organizational needs change. Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong skills in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience in invoice processing and reconciliation.

Familiarity with filing and maintaining organized records.

Ability to work effectively in high-volume environments.

Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

Demonstrated adaptability to changing processes and tasks.

Competence in managing databases and digital documentation systems.
