Read more at www.dsv.comLocation:USA - Buffalo, 237 Main StDivision:Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Senior Team Lead Time Type: Full TimeSummaryThe Senior Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations. This includes ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently and effectively, maintaining compliance with all regulations, and providing excellent customer service. The Senior Team Lead will also serve as a mentor and coach to team members, providing guidance and support as needed.Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the team, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies- Provide guidance and support to team members, serving as a mentor and coach to help develop their skills and knowledge- Manage customer relationships, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction- Coordinate with other departments and teams, including import & export teams, customs brokers, and transportation providers, to ensure seamless operations- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and other partners to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricing- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and other required documentation- Monitor industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for process improvements and cost savings- Communicate with management and other stakeholders on a regular basis to provide updates on team performance, customer issues, and other relevant informationEducational background / Work experience- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, but not required- At least 5 years of experience in import/export operations or a related field is required- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferredSkills & Competencies- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, procedures, and documentation requirements- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, customers, and partners- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on that data- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesSupervisory Responsibilities (if any)- The Senior Team Lead, Operations, will be responsible for department oversight, which may include supervising team members and coordinating with other departments and teams.Preferred Qualifications- Certification in logistics or supply chain management is preferred- Prior experience working with ocean/air carriers, customs brokers, and transportation providers is a plus- Experience with industry-specific software, such as CargoWise or Descartes, is a plusLanguage skills- Flu
