Quality Specialist

Overview: We are looking for a Quality Specialist to support product integrity and compliance. This role is hands-on in the quality lab, focusing on testing, equipment calibration, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Certifications & Compliance

Maintain quality certifications (IATF 16949, ISO standards).

Prepare documentation for audits and certification renewals.

Support internal and external audits.

Lab & Testing

Perform and oversee product tests (pressure drop, seam strength, permeability, LOI, vibration).

Calibrate and maintain lab equipment.

Manage sample handling and tracking.

Collaborate with engineering and production on product validation.

Documentation & Reporting

Record and report test results in a clear, compliant format.

Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation.

Lead investigations for nonconformances; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Create test reports and certification packets for stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Support

Work with engineering and production to improve design and processes.

Support APQP, PPAP, and product launch activities.

Train production staff on quality methods and defect prevention.

Suggest and implement improvements in lab efficiency, safety, and accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Nice to Haves:

Familiarity with IMDS (International Material Data System) preferred.

Working knowledge of ISO/IATF 16949 standards and core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC,

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BROOKVILLE, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
