Cable Technician - Level 3

Data Center environment

Schedule: Monday-Friday (10-hour shifts), Saturday (8-hour shift)

Start time: 6:00 AM

Responsibilities

Install and maintain structured cabling systems in hyperscale data centers or commercial environments

Perform cable terminations including RJ45 jacks and patch panels

Build out racks and cabinets

Conduct cable testing and labeling

Construct pathways and route cabling

Assist with Telecommunication Room build-outs

Follow safety and quality standards consistently

Work in confined spaces and at heights up to 20 feet using ladders

Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs regularly

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in data center or commercial cabling environments

Fiber optic cabling experience

OSHA 10 certification

High school diploma or GED

Ability to read, write, and understand English (bilingual a plus)

Familiarity with color-coded wiring and punch-down techniques

Comfortable working days, nights, or weekends based on project needs

Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity

Reliable and punctual attendance

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
