Minimum requirements:

Associates Degree

60 College Credits or Highly Qualified Certificate

PATTAN Training if candidate is under 60 college credits /AA Degree

Pay Rate:Daily Substitute Instructional Assistant/ Spec Ed Para $16.24 Hourly

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs within the classroom.

Model the ideas that embrace diversity and inclusivity while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

A full-time paraeducator may also be referred to as paraprofessional, 1:1 aide, education technician, teacher aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant, education assistant, learning support assistant, and teaching assistant.
