JOB REQUIREMENTS: At Volt, our greatest strength is our people Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Lathe Machinist-in Franklin, WI 53132 (Direct hire) What are the main functions of this role? This position is in the Lathe Department, and it involves moving from one machine to another as needed when workload shifts. The machines include 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar feeders. The individual in this role will perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This will involve reading and editing G & M code and performing first piece and in-process quality inspections. The position will also involve running different grades of material and performing multiple setups a day. Ideal candidate must have: Proven experience operating CNC lathes in a production environment. Ability to work across multiple machines, including Mazak Quick Turns (2- & 3-axis), DMG Mori Lathes, and bar feeders. Skilled in setup and programming to achieve precise tolerances and finishing requirements. Proficient in reading and editing G & M code. MAZATROL conversational programming knowledge. Experience performing multiple setups per day and running different grades of material. Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls. This is a Full- time- Direct hire opportunity. Preferred skills: 3 to 5 years of CNC machining operation setup and programming experience preferred \ Knowledge of metric blueprints along with GD&T preferred \ Knowledge of 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar Feeders is preferred. Education Level Required: High school diploma Pay Range: \$32.00 - \$ 36.00 per hour + shift differential of 10% for 2nd shift and 15% for 3rd shift.
