Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the Human Resources Office of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS. Responsibilities You will work in coordination with the Principle Classifier to assist and advise key management officials concerning all phases of workforce restructuring to include organizational changes, realignments, and relocations. You will provide technical advice and assistance in numerous compensation program areas to all levels of HR personnel and management officials, including the planning, training, marketing, and implementation of comprehensive compensation strategies. You will provide senior advisory services regarding position management. You will ensure command-wide position classification accuracy and consistency in interpreting and applying position classification standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and developing command classification program, including long range projection and goals; 2) Providing expert advisory and technical services to senior level leadership, line managers, and supervisors on a broad range of complex and controversial classification issues; 3) Serving as adviser on planning and implementing reorganizations that may have command wide impact; 4) Interpreting and explaining position classification laws, regulations, standards, Office of Personnel Management (OPM)/Department of Defense (DOD) directives and third party findings.
