Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an assembler, you will utilize hand and power tools to complete various assembly tasks. You are expected to follow instructions based on drawings or supervisor guidance, inspect and test completed assemblies, and maintain tool inventory. Additionally, you will clean and lubricate parts and assemblies and utilize a computer to record assembly status.

Responsibilities

Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.

Follow detailed instructions from drawings or supervisors.

Inspect and test completed assemblies for quality assurance.

Clean and lubricate parts and assemblies as necessary.

Maintain an accurate tool inventory.

Record assembly status using a computer system.

Essential Skills

Ability to read a tape measure up to 1/16th of an inch.

Basic math skills.

Previous experience in assembly, construction, woodworking, or building.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Ability to read blueprints and work on an assembly line.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift experience is a plus.

Crane experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Our newly expanded facility, built in early 2019, offers a modern and climate-controlled environment. The workspace is open and spacious, with no tight areas, ensuring comfort and safety. Employees have access to locker bays for personal belongings, and a brand new kitchen and market area for snacks and meals. The facility is equipped with vending machines and everything is kept clean and well-maintained.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hobart, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
