GDIT is seeking a well-versed, hands-on Technical Project Manager to join our program team to collaborate and work with Federal customer stakeholders to oversee technical projects in a variety of areas spanning system engineering and security, user centered design, full lifecycle software engineering and business analytics.
Primary duties include working with our internal program teams and Federal stakeholders to oversee end to end project activities: requirements, timelines, risks, deliverables, success measures, etc.
The ideal candidate will work independently under general supervision, while also providing guidance to less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Key Personnel liaison and focal point for Federal IT staff and executive stakeholders to continuously coordinate and status projects, risks, tasks, and reviews and solve problems
Work with Federal customer and agile team leads to develop strategies, priorities, and plans for projects
Work with agile team leads to develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, and schedules for multiple, concurrent agile IT projects
Develop and communicate expectations, project risks, mitigation strategies, cost estimates, and evolve project plans as risks materialize and priorities evolve
Develop and shape future project initiatives and roadmaps, shape and manage customer relationship and expectations, and develop strategies for future work
Develop presentations and graphics in collaboration with technical staff to promote new IT innovations and IT project accomplishments
Performs a variety of complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of multiple projects
Develop plans, including budgets and schedules, and monitor tasks to meet contractual/project requirements
Establishes and defines program requirements and directs or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plan
Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met
Interacts regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements
Oversee the PMO Deliverables and Staff
Fill in for Program Manager as needed
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 5+ years of related working experience
At least 8 years' experience leading large and complex system/software O&M and DME programs, projects, or customer service operations for Federal government programs
At least 3+ years' experience leading both direct and indirect (matrixed) reports
Diverse experience bringing best practice to the program
Experience executing IT projects using agile methodologies, both scrum and kanban
Experience leading and coaching agile methodologies
Superior Federal customer relationship, leadership and collaboration skills.
Must establish rapport with junior executive customer and GDIT staff working both remotely and onsite
Superior writing and communication skills. Must write succinctly and clearly to explain complex situations in plain English to technical and non-technical audiences
Superior multi-tasking and organization skills. Must manage multiple simultaneous projects and prioritize assignments and tasks accordingly, remaining flexible to changing priorities and new initiatives
Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
PMI, PMP, SAFe, and agile certifications, or commensurate experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Federal Contractor Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using CMMI for Development maturity level 3, CMMI for Services maturity level 3, ITIL, or other management frameworks to manage programs and projects
Experience with AI Transformation
Experience with ODC Procurement
Federal Healthcare Experience
Proficient with Confluence & Jira
Proficient with Word, Excel & PowerPoint

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
