Job Title: Morning / Afternoon Desk Auditor

Job Overview:
The Morning / Afternoon Auditor is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the hotel during the morning and afternoon shifts. This role involves reconciling daily transactions, preparing financial reports, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, and handling various tasks related to guest services and facility maintenance. Additionally, the Morning / Afternoon Auditor is expected to contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Duties:
Conduct audits of daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile and balance all revenue and settlement accounts, including room charges, food and beverage transactions, and other hotel-related activities.
Generate and distribute daily financial reports to relevant departments.
Guest Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to guests during the day shift.
Assist with check-ins and check-outs as needed.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Operational and Facility Maintenance Duties:
Clean up the dining hall after breakfast, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere.
Take out the trash and maintain cleanliness in the dining hall, lounge area, and front desk office.
Perform occasional laundry duties, ensuring a supply of clean linens and towels.
Put away inventories as needed to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
Cleaning After Shift:
Clean and organize the workspace, including the front desk office, to ensure a neat and professional appearance.
Dispose of any waste generated during the shift appropriately.
Leave the workspace in a condition that is ready for the next shift.
Security and Safety:
Monitor security cameras and conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to ensure the safety of guests and property.
Report any suspicious activities or incidents to appropriate authorities.
Rules and Regulations:
Confidentiality:
Maintain strict confidentiality of guest information and hotel financial records.
Do not disclose sensitive information to unauthorized individuals.
Professional Conduct:
Adhere to a professional dress code and grooming standards.
Treat all guests and colleagues with respect and courtesy.
Security Measures:
Strictly follow security protocols and report any breaches or suspicious activities immediately.
Handle keys, sensitive information, and cash with the utmost care and responsibility.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Stay informed about changes in hotel policies and procedures.
Communication:
Maintain effective communication with the day shift and other hotel departments through detailed shift reports.
Clearly communicate any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Technology Usage:
Use hotel management software and other tools responsibly and for work-related purposes only.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality industry practices.
