Parts Counter Person

Key Responsibilities -Customer Assistance: Greet customers and assist them in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their vehicles or machinery. Provide information on product specifications and compatibility.

-Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately, including handling cash, credit, and returns. Ensure all charge sales are signed by the customer.

-Inventory Management: Maintain an organized and accurate inventory of parts. Receive, unpack, and store incoming parts shipments, verifying quantities and cataloging items in the inventory system.

-Order Fulfillment: Pull and fill orders from stock, notify customers when special ordered parts have -arrived, and follow up on back-ordered parts.

-Communication: Coordinate with service technicians to provide necessary parts for repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery to maintain workflow.

-Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the parts counter area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies and parts.

Required Skills -Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide excellent service.

-Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive parts and their specifications, as well as the ability to read and interpret parts breakdowns and work orders.

-Computer Proficiency: Experience with computerized inventory systems and point-of-sale software to manage transactions and inventory.

-Organizational Skills: Ability to manage stock levels efficiently and conduct periodic inventory audits.

-Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to address customer needs and provide solutions for parts or accessories that best fulfill their requirements.

Job Qualifications

-High School Diploma or equivalent -Punctual, dependable, able to get to work on time -Able to work in a team and produce quality work under tight deadlines -Strong communication skills -Diligence, prioritization skills and time management
