Responsibilities Directs functions in support of examining and reconciling data for transportation services in multiple systems such as TPPS, CAPs, GFEBS, One Pay and other financial payment systems. Identifies and analyzes problem areas considering alternative solutions, and selects the most appropriate course of action. Makes decisions, issues instructions and provides guidance for work performed. Defines standards for work and prepares instructions for its accomplishment. Performs internal personnel administrative and managerial tasks. Responsible for process improvement through ongoing analysis of customer needs to increase productivity and quality. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, establishes priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Responds to questions from customers and subordinates regarding claims, payment Inquiries, discrepancies, and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is defined as: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service such as performing payment reconciliations or identifying and correcting discrepancies and disparities between payment and information in automated accounting systems related to transportation pay services or providing technical information to co-workers and employees on accounting support processing, policies, procedures and functions. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in Federal Service. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. The Security Designation will vary and dependent upon position and may require a secret clearance or higher. Employment in this position requires a background investigation which may delay starting date.
