Job Posting Text $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center-Northwest) has outstanding opportunities for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) positions. CURRENT OPENING: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH - GERO: 90% FTE / DAYThe Geropsychiatric unit located in the new Center For Behavioral Health and Learning (CBHL) on the UWMC Northwest campus provides a fully integrated, welcoming and healing environment for individuals struggling with serious physical and behavioral health problems. The Geropsychiatric unit has 36 beds and, as part of the CBHL, supports a full continuum of clinical services ranging from effective medication management, psychotherapies, and medical care for individuals with medical and behavioral health disorders. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse

Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating

Maintain a safe environment of care

Patient transportation

Prepare patients for surgery

Perform non-invasive lab procedures

Transport equipment and supplies

Assist with treatments

Perform various clerical tasks

Take vital signs REQUIREMENTS

Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)

High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.

Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start dateUW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST
