Job Title: Mig Welder

Job Description

Join a dynamic distributor of stainless steel and aluminum, where you'll be trained in-house on various machines to excel in welding tasks. As a welder, you will play a crucial role in the production and assembly processes, contributing to high-quality manufacturing outcomes.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum materials.

Engage in manufacturing, production, and assembly tasks, including sheet metal fabrication and press break operations.

Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise welding and fabrication.

Use various welding techniques such as flux core and stick welding.

Conduct grinding and fitting tasks as required.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality output.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG welding.

Proficiency in welding stainless steel and aluminum.

Experience with both MIG and TIG welding, including pedal and button TIG techniques.

Ability to read blueprints and perform fabrication tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing and production environments.

Blueprint reading skills.

Entry-level candidates with welding knowledge are welcome.

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized metal fabrication facility with a distribution center, alongside a team of 7 within an onsite workforce of 50 people. The facility is non-air-conditioned but clean, with a dress code of covered shoes, work shirt, and jeans. Work uniforms are provided. Shifts vary, with options for 4/10s starting at 7am or weekend shifts comprising of long hours from Friday to Monday.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX 77064.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
