Job Title: 1st Shift Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated 1st Shift Mechanical Assemblers to join our team at a military and defense facility in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves repetitive work in a high-paced production environment, aiming to produce 5000 units per month. The position offers competitive hourly pay based on experience, with opportunities for overtime during the week and on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing setting, preferably in aerospace, electronics, or medical industries.

Utilize common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, and multimeters.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions accurately.

Communicate effectively with engineering and production teams.

Adapt to rapidly changing roles and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

Ensure high-quality production by following precise mechanical assembly processes.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

Working knowledge of electrical components.

Ability to read wiring diagrams.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in assembling high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and related components.

Capability to perform validation and testing of electronic components using equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Familiarity with air-frame construction techniques such as rivets and mechanical fasteners.

Proficiency in electronic box assembly troubleshooting.

Ability to run functional checkouts and diagnose issues.

Experience with RF systems testing and troubleshooting.

PCBA troubleshooting experience.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, professional environment with a large, expanding company that has recently received funding to build a new facility. The role requires working on a 1st shift schedule from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
