Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Georgetown, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Perform accurate data entry to maintain financial records and documentation.

Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment scheduling.

Utilize Excel for creating spreadsheets, formulas, and financial reports.

Operate QuickBooks to handle various accounting tasks effectively.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.

Record and input journal entries into the accounting system.

Support the team with general accounting functions and financial audits.

Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and procedures. Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Skilled in using Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries.

Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise accounting functions.

Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under deadlines.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
