Join our team as an Administrative Assistant with a dual focus on Financial Aid and Student Loan Management. This unique position blends classic administrative responsibilities with proactive student loan coaching and financial education. You'll work closely with students, performing entrance and exit loan interviews, helping them understand financial aid and student loans, and supporting those in default on their repayment journey. You'll also assist with appointment scheduling and collaborate with key staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage student loan entrance and exit exam processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Provide one-on-one financial coaching and education about student loans and financial planning.

Reach out to students in loan default, offering guidance and support toward resolution.

Schedule and manage student appointments for financial aid setup and consultation.

Track follow-ups and documentation through CRM (Campus View) and other systems as needed.

Collaborate closely with colleagues, including Crystal, to ensure exceptional service.

Perform general administrative tasks to support the financial aid office.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

Financial Background: Proven experience in student lending, financial aid, banking, or related finance roles.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple process steps, maintain accurate records, and ensure thorough follow-through.

Software Proficiency: Basic understanding of CRM systems (Campus View or similar); training provided if necessary.

Personality & Soft Skills:

Outstanding people skills, with the ability to coach, advise, and communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.

High-level professionalism, empathy, and discretion when discussing personal financial situations.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education, student services, or financial counseling is a plus.

Familiarity with federal student aid regulations and loan programs preferred.

Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in administrative support or a similar role.

Proficiency in answering inbound calls and managing office communications.

Strong skills in data entry and attention to detail.

Familiarity with receptionist tasks and basic office operations.

Knowledge of financial aid processes and student loan systems is preferred.

Excellent customer service abilities with a focus on resolving issues effectively.

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
