Junior Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to join our Finance department. This position will support accounts receivable and billing processes.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate customer invoices and send them through customer portals and emails.

Maintain customer accounts, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.

Investigate and resolve billing errors, payment discrepancies, and customer billing disputes.

Prepare analytical analysis relevant to accounts receivable.

Post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

Assist with month-end close processes.

Participate in yearly physical inventory.

Assist with year-end audit.

Work on special projects as requested by management.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Strong communication skills.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, general ledger, and reconciliation.

Work Environment

This role is based on-site, working closely with a team of three other accounting professionals. The position involves working five days per week in a collaborative environment known for its supportive company culture. The organization is a growing European company with potential growth opportunities if the role transitions to permanent status.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blauvelt, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
