Summary You will serve as an Industrial Specialist (SHIPS) on an LSD Branch (332), Amphibious/CVN Division (330), Waterfront Operations Department (300), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will act as the business agent for availabilities and contracts. You will maintain liaison with customers, ship forces and functional departments. You will coordinate weekly progress conferences pertaining to the assigned availability and contracts. You will utilize knowledge of funds management and accounting procedures, methods and practices. You will review ship repair and shipbuilding procedures for quality control of overhauling and production ship methods Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience negotiating ship availabilities and contracts. Experience coordinating, planning and estimating ship repairs. Experience reviewing ship repair budget funds for assigning contracts and orders. Experience assembling, disseminating and orating reports for weekly progress.
