Entry Level Medical Assistant Opportunity!

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Under the direction of the clinic supervisor, this role plays a vital part in supporting patient care by preparing exam rooms, assisting providers, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. This is a 3 month contract position, great for a entry level MA who has complete their school program, searching for an opportunity to start their career and get some experience under their belt!

Key Responsibilities

Prepare patient exam rooms and equipment using aseptic and sterile techniques

Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs and brief medical histories

Perform clinical procedures including immunizations, injections, venipuncture, and urinalysis

Assist providers during patient exams and procedures

Greet and register patients, manage referrals and authorizations

Schedule appointments and ancillary tests accurately

Answer and route incoming phone calls, taking and distributing messages

Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms

Qualifications

Medical Assistant degree/diploma (160 hour completed externship required)

1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant if not actively certified

EMR experience

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Work Environment

This position is onsite in a fast paced dermatology clinic. Schedule is as follows, must be able to work the following schedule:

Monday, OFF

Tuesday, 8am to 6:30pm

Wednesday, 7am to 3pm

Thursday, 6:45am to 2:30pm

Friday, 7am to 12:30pm

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.50/hr.
