LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
JOB SUMMARY**
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direction of a primary care provider, as part of the healthcare team, and is responsible for providing general clinical nursing support. The individual is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care required for the patient and will assist in the development and revision of patient's care plan.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Knowledge of patient care standards and practices acquired through graduation from an accredited LPN program or documentation of nursing education and training through an accredited Registered Nurse program that meets state requirements to take LPN boards.
Preferred/Optional: Licensed practical nurse (LPN) diploma. Associate degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Experience working with patient care. Demonstrated proficiency with verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred/Optional: Experience as a licensed practical nurse within an area relative to the hiring department.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

MEDICAL ASSISTANT
JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients' care, comfort, and safety. The Medical Assistant performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic's mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: One of the following:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent): (1) Medical Terminology from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class, (2) Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class, and (3) Pharmacology from an accredited institution.
Two years of Medical Assistant-related work experience and completion of the required educational courses listed above within the first 12 months from hire.
Preferred/Optional: Experience in healthcare.

National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Primary work location is Weston, with outreach to Merrill typically one day per month, along with possible outreach to Stevens Point as needed
