THE POSITION

Join Cambria County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities (MH/ID) Unit in this Accountant 1 position with our Behavioral Health & Developmental Support Program. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Accountant 1, analytical skills and an eye for detail are key as you will work with operating expenses and incoming provider invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with rules and regulations. Your work will include preparing account payable vouchers, identifying the applicable cost center, and obtaining administrative approval of the vouchers. You also compile data for operating and contracted provider expenses to assist in the preparation of the county budget. This position utilizes various computerized or manual accounting documents including legers and spreadsheets for report generation. Our team will also rely on you to maintain accurate inventory lists for internal tracking and fiscal reporting purposes. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting;or
Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting;or
One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting.
