Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial reconciliation and accounts payable processes. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of daily accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Handle bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice validation and payment scheduling.

Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure timely reporting.

Collaborate with internal teams to address payment issues and ensure seamless operations.

Monitor and analyze financial data to identify inconsistencies or errors.

Assist in preparing documentation for audits and financial reviews.

Implement and adhere to accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance.

Provide support in resolving vendor inquiries and issues related to payments.

Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable department. Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable and financial reconciliation.

Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation processes.

Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and related accounting activities.

Expertise in managing accounts payable functions and resolving discrepancies.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools commonly used in financial operations.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
