Job Goal:
To assist, support, and work closely with supervising district/school teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational benefit for children.
Tend to and protect children's physical, emotional, and social needs as well as routine care needs, including feeding, napping, diapering, per state licensing regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assists in providing student care based on the individualized plan of care for a student
Ensures confidentiality of all student information
Utilizes safe student handling at all times
Informs head of school of activities performed observations of student and changes in student status
Provides a neat and clean student environment
Assists student with activities of daily living
Turns and repositions student alone or with assistance
May transport student and assist with walking
Assists with fall prevention interventions and student restraints as delegated
Provides student care as delegated by the school including, but not limited to, diapering and toileting
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
18 years or older
Experience with Exceptional Children
CNA preferred
