As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Gaston, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout retail and mall locations. Remaining visible and approachable, you will provide outstanding customer service while monitoring assigned areas. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property by vehicle as well as on foot. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a positive environment for staff and customers.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related issues.

Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols within the retail environment.

Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits, and interacting with individuals as needed.

Collaborate with location management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
