As the Product Management Supervisor in the Office of Inspector General's Digital Services Unit, you will lead a team of product management professionals and serve as a Senior Product Manager to deliver strategic alignment and operational excellence in large-scale OIG digital products that support our mission and vision and enable 24,000 social services providers, multiple state agencies, and all 87 counties. The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
As part of the team, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Team Leadership and Development: Manage the work of and provide supervision, coaching, and professional development to product management professionals, fostering a collaborative culture of continuous learning and innovation while building product management capabilities across the team.
Product Management Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive and integrated strategy for product management to ensure product activities align with the overall Product Group vision, departmental goals, and user needs, while ensuring accessibility, equity, and inclusion across all products.
Operational Coordination: Provide day-to-day operational coordination across products and tactical consultation to support product group strategic objectives.
Process Improvement and Innovation: Drive continuous improvement in product management processes, identify opportunities for operational efficiency, and foster innovation in service delivery approaches.
Business Structure and Resources: Develop, implement, and oversee business structure, processes, technology, and staff resources for the product management team, ensuring consistent application of product management methodologies and coordinated delivery of product objectives.

Demonstrated leadership experience
Leadership experience can include:
Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead;
Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);
A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:
o 1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions
o 100+ hours per year time commitment
AND
Four (4) years of professional work experience in a product management role or overseeing a product management team.
Experience must demonstrate the following:
Product management and Agile methodologies, including experience with product roadmaps, backlog refinement, feature prioritization, and/or user story development.
Translating user needs and feedback into actionable product solutions.
Data-informed decision making and developing and/or evaluating product performance metrics.
Leading cross-functional teams and providing coaching, mentoring, and/or guidance.
Developing, influencing, and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
Overseeing quality assurance of product deliverables to meet business, accessibility, user needs, and/or regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Salesforce software platform sufficient to understand and guide product management decisions and coordinate with technical teams.
Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing product managers or other team members in product management practices.
Experience coordinating or managing work across multiple products or product teams.
Experience making decisions with incomplete information while balancing competing stakeholder needs.
Experience in government, public sector, or complex regulatory environments.
Understanding of federal-state-county government processes and cross-agency coordination.
Knowledge of human services programs, including licensing, program integrity, or early childhood education.
Knowledge of Minnesota human services delivery systems and associated legislation/regulations.
Ability to communicate technical and strategic information to non-technical audiences effectively.
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
