The Engineering Manager will direct and coordinate activities of the Engineering Department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Location: Plymouth, MN or Staunton, VA - Hybrid What you will do: Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts Analyze technology trends and market demand to plan projects Manage the timely revision of drawings and bills of material, as required Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products Forecast operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests Advise management of new developments that may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations Provide direction and examples for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations and develop recommendations accordingly Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner What's in it for you: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering 6+ years of related experience 4+ years of people leadership experience Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: HVAC industry experience Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions Company provided life insurance + optional employee-paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage, and voluntary accident coverage Short-term andlong-termdisability 3 weeks of paid time off for new employees + 11 company-paid holidays Vacationaccrueson a monthly basis, unless applicable federal,state,and local law requires a faster accrual Paid sick time in accordancewiththe federal,state,and local law Paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,800-$166,700 + 15% bonusin Minnesota and Virginia. The range displayedrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
