Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused healthcare team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from arrival to exam. You'll work closely with physicians and nurses to support high-quality care while managing essential clinical and administrative tasks.

What You'll Do

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth.

Monitor patient arrivals and assist with efficient patient flow.

Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for procedures.

Record vital signs, allergies, medical histories, and chief complaints.

Collect specimens and take measurements (height, weight, etc.).

Prepare and maintain accurate medical records in Epic EMR.

Ensure lab reports and documentation are ready for appointments.

Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and stock supplies.

Provide interpretation services and clerical support as needed.

Uphold HIPAA standards to protect patient confidentiality.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of healthcare experience (Medical Assistant or similar role).

Familiarity with Epic EMR and appointment scheduling.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment serving 50-100 patients daily.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffern, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
