Inner City Health is a Christ-centered, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look Alike providing comprehensive primary care, dental, and behavioral health services to underserved communities in Denver and Wheat Ridge. Our team provides more than 30,000 patient visits annually, ensuring whole-person care that reflects the love and compassion of Christ.

Position Summary**

The Practice Manager directly oversees the daily operations of Inner City Health's Wheat Ridge clinic, manages up to two Office Managers and ensures the effective coordination of a medical office clinic functions. This role is responsible for developing and standardizing processes, driving quality improvement (QI) initiatives, and supporting the training and development of staff. The Practice Manager ensures that clinic operations are efficient, patient-centered, compliant with regulatory standards, and aligned with Inner City Health's mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

Supervise, support, and evaluate the Office Managers

Provide leadership to administrative and clinical support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Partner with clinical and executive leadership to ensure alignment of operational goals with organizational priorities.

Operational Oversight

Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure smooth workflows, patient satisfaction, and efficient use of resources.

Develop, implement, and monitor standardized processes across sites to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality care delivery.

Ensure effective scheduling, patient flow, and coordination across medical, dental, and behavioral health services.

Charged with credentialing, attending RAE meetings, flow optimization and metric evaluation.

Quality Improvement (QI)

Lead and support QI initiatives in collaboration with clinical leadership.

Monitor performance metrics (e.g., patient access, no-show rates, throughput, satisfaction, etc.) and identify opportunities for improvement.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation requirements.

Training & Staff Development

Oversee staff onboarding, training (EHR etc.), and competency development for their team.

Identify professional development needs and coordinate training opportunities.

Promote a supportive environment for staff growth, patient-centered service, and mission alignment.

Financial & Resource Management

Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to monitor budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation.

Support revenue cycle processes by ensuring accurate registration, billing, and collections workflows at each site.

Assist with operational planning and projections for clinic growth and efficiency.

Process Development & Strategic Support**

Assess and refine workflows to improve operational efficiency and patient experience.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that support sustainable growth.

Provide input on strategic initiatives, facility planning, and organizational development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required. Work experience in substitution for education is sufficient, assuming minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management and or practice management.

Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare practice management, with supervisory responsibility.

Knowledge of FQHC operations, compliance, and reporting requirements are strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success in process improvement, QI, and staff development.

Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare operations software.

Physical And Equipment Requirements:

Normal work environment is an office and medical clinical setting, which involves some physical risks requiring basic safety precautions.

This position routinely requires sitting, standing, bending/stooping, operating a computer for extended periods, and lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

This position requires the ability to hear routine conversations and to have the ability to comprehend both oral and written communications

Standard office equipment includes computers, copiers, faxes, telephones, etc.

Must be able to provide personal transportation to multiple meetings off-site from ICH.

COMPENSATION: $75,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications and company parity
