Job Duties:
Provide Program Management (PgM) leadership and oversight of Secure Cloud Platform (SCP) projects supporting Defense Industrial Base (DIB) customers. SCP is a portfolio of related projects under the Accenture Federal Services (AFS) Defense and Intelligence (D&I) Portfolio within the Modern Engineering practice.
Operate in a matrixed environment providing management oversight of multiple complex technical projects supporting DIB unclassified and classified cloud enablement efforts.
Support the development and execution of comprehensive project management approaches for SCP DIB project managers, including schedules, deliverables, resource allocation, and risk management strategies, leveraging SCP PgM best practices where applicable
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies; work with other SCP PgMs to share improvements into SCP best practices
Ensure diligent management of project budgets, accurate financial reporting, cost-effective utilization of cloud resources, and adherence to financial constraints.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule. Coordinate regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators to customers and SCP leadership.
Ensure projects have timely and thorough reporting on AFS Delivery Scorecards, Quality Assurance Delivery reviews, and other regular touchpoints.
Coordinate with DIB stakeholders and Cloud Service Provider (CSP) industry partners to maximize opportunities for mission success. Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide functional management and leadership to foster professional development for SCP Project Managers aligned to DIB portfolio. This will be performed with support and leadership from the SCP Mission Enablement group, who provide PgM best practices and processes and help with cross-coordination and communication for SCP portfolio of projects.
Mentor and guide SCP DIB project managers, supporting their professional development and ensuring adherence to project management and organizational best practices.
Maintain frequent communication and conduct regular 1:1 engagements with the project managers to support tactical execution for their projects. Offer constructive feedback and facilitate opportunities for hands-on exposure to different skill areas to aid in professional development, to include recommending relevant training programs and workshops to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Support business development efforts within SCP and across AFS.
Help shape acquisition strategy for engagements with DIB customers.
Lead the development and execution of acquisition strategies to support growth of the SCP DIB portfolio, develop DIB sales pipeline, and accelerate mission delivery capabilities. Provide strategic insights and recommendations on growth initiatives. Coordinate with senior and executive level AFS leadership on large strategic initiatives, including opportunities to expand DIB support beyond SCP cloud support and into other domain areas.
Oversee production of DIB-related Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost buildups, capability white papers, briefings, and other customer facing capture and shaping materials to ensure complete and accurate details are included.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including DIB mission partners, government end customers, Cloud Service Provider (CSP) industry partners, and AFS leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business cases and financial models for potential growth. Help develop staffing pipeline and development strategy.
Coordinate support of internal pipeline and growth processes, using tools like COMPASS (Salesforce) for out-years planning.
Required Skills:
Eligibility for TS/SCI with CI Poly required for full integration into all SCP portfolio activities. Job could be performed with a minimum Secret clearance or with interim or in-process clearance.
5+ Years experience managing technology projects and programs or 5+ projects serving in delivery lead or related capacity.
Demonstrated experience with fundamental cloud computing concepts.
Demonstrated experience with federal acquisition processes, contract @types and structures, and budget programming cycles and timelines.
3+ years experience managing mid-level and junior business and IT personnel or 3+ projects serving in a lead role.
3+ years experience with agile software development lifecycle.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Defense Industrial Base companies and missions.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Commercial cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or other)
Strong creativity, communication skills, and cross-group collaboration skills.
Passion for finding process and product solutions for hard problems at scale and building partnerships to operationalize said solutions in new, undefined spaces.
