Role Summary
The Corporate Safety & Security Operations Manager is responsible for developing and executing the company's physical security strategy across all US sites. This role ensures the protection of personnel, property, and assets while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Manager will provide leadership, vision, and operational direction for all aspects of security operations, emergency management, and risk mitigation.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Program Development
Define, develop, and lead the organization's security and safety strategy and roadmap.
Align security initiatives with corporate goals and operational workflows.
Lead enterprise modernization across access control, monitoring, and operations center platforms, architected for scalability and analytics.
Benchmark and collaborate with industry counterparts to ensure continuous improvement.
Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Operational Security & Risk Management
Monitor local, regional, and global security developments and weather events impacting operations.
Conduct site assessments and implement layered security solutions across all facilities.
Oversee incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management programs.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards through audits and assessments.
Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and public safety agencies.
Manage the Threat Assessment and Crisis Management Teams.
Emergency Preparedness & Business Continuity
Develop, maintain, and test emergency response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
Design and execute training programs, drills, and simulations to ensure readiness.
Oversee mass notification, accountability, and visitor management systems.
Provide on-site support during special events or incidents.
Training, Awareness & Culture
Train Associates on emergency procedures, personal safety, and situational awareness.
Foster a culture of risk awareness, integrity, and preparedness throughout the organization.
Develop and update emergency maps and communications materials.
Support ongoing leadership and team development across security and safety personnel.
Investigations & Reporting
Conduct or oversee internal investigations in collaboration with HR and Legal.
Document and report security incidents, including thefts, property damage, and workplace violence.
Analyze trends and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Leadership & People Management
Build and lead a high-performing security and emergency management team.
Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide coaching and mentorship.
Support staff development and succession planning through training and certifications.
Required Skills & Personal Qualifications
H.S. Diploma required or bachelor's degree Criminal Justice preferred
At least 8-10 years Progressive experience in security management, law enforcement, or emergency operations. required and at least 4-6 years in a senior leadership capacity required
Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or emergency medical response preferred
Strong background in risk management, investigations, policy development, and crisis leadership preferred
Knowledge of modern security technologies, physical security systems, and emergency communications preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills preferred
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel and respond to emergencies after hours preferred
Work Environment
Office Location: Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)
Hybrid Role: Hybrid Role - Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]
Required Travel: 15%
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain and enroll for approval by internal risk management to operate company vehicles. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $114000 - 160000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M2)
