Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000/annually Dependent on Experience

Tessera is seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to provide oversight of fleet maintenance operations. The role is responsible for mission-level planning, resource and manpower modeling, production scheduling, FMIS data integration, and ensuring maintenance execution meets technical standards, contract specifications, and quality metrics.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Core Leadership Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of AbilityOne and SourceAmerica programs.
Uphold and embody Tessera's core values.
Align team goals with Tessera's value proposition, ensuring highly engaged employees contribute to customer satisfaction.
Identify and mitigate safety hazards on job sites through effective risk controls and utilize Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).
Conduct root cause analyses to promote a safe working environment and maintain adherence to Tessera's Accident Reporting process.
Foster positive client interactions using effective interpersonal skills, demonstrating respect, empathy, and responsiveness.
Essential duties:
Coordinate with Shop Foremen to refine mission planning, required resources, bay space, density levels, and time frames.
Perform initial mission planning and provide rough order of magnitude resource estimates, brief Fleet Manager on proposed courses of action.
Serve as the primary Tessera liaison to Government personnel including Soldiers, COR, QAE, and TPAs.
Generate, verify, and distribute daily and weekly production reports, daily man-hour tracking, and internal/external quality metrics using FMIS data.
Analyze production data to identify systemic performance barriers and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the Site Manager to meet profitability, efficiency, and contract performance goals; act as Site Manager when assigned.
Coordinate with Supply Supervisor to provide guidance and ensure parts/materials flow to meet mission requirements.
Work with FMIS Coordinator to provide system input and improve reporting and operational workflows.
Troubleshoot Army technical and engineering issues for wheeled and tracked vehicles; establish preventive and corrective actions.
Assist in developing Tessera maintenance policies, operational procedures, and process time estimates; translate technology requirements into practical maintenance processes.
Create flow charts and communication tools for training subordinate managers and employees.
Coordinate operational changes and FMIS updates to reflect process improvements.
Maintain Tessera's core values, including commitment to humanitarianism and employment of people with disabilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive maintenance, fleet operations, or related supervisory/management roles. Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, technical manuals, and COLs; strong understanding of automotive systems for gasoline and diesel vehicles and military platforms.
Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, FMIS or similar maintenance information systems, and other business software.
Strong interpersonal skills; experience briefing leadership and coordinating with government stakeholders.
Capable of developing complex ratios, correlations, and process time estimates; able to analyze production data and implement corrective actions.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
Valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
