Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee non-IT projects, including engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-outs. The main function of this role is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities, ensuring successful project completion.

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.

Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

Act as owner representative construction project manager, ensuring all contractors and vendors comply with their contracts.

Assist with overseeing safety, schedule, and budget.

Essential Skills

Project management and construction project management experience.

Experience in project planning and scheduling, particularly managing complex project schedules for construction in the $100M+ range.

Technical understanding of MEP systems and commissioning, with 5-10 years supporting construction/building commissioning for datacenter or life science programs.

QA/QC and safety management experience, with 5-10 years overseeing construction quality control and safety programs for large-scale projects.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.

PMI or PMP certification preferred.

Datacenter/MSFT experience is highly valued.

This role is based onsite in San Antonio, TX.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83.00 - $93.00/hr.
