Duties Description The incumbent will utilize a skill set related to organizational and functional project management to establish various administrative programs in support of departmental initiatives. The incumbent will take on both lead and follow roles with respect to Document Control Center operations, mailings, check processing, and virtual mail distribution. Other duties include but are not limited to; requisitioning goods and services, documentation, reports, and other occupational duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications - One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren't limited to: Administrative Assistant 1, Program Aide, Contract Management Specialist Trainee 1; OR- Four years of customer service experience which required independence in both verbal and written communication responsibilities; OR- An associate degree or higher and two years of customer service experience which required independence in both verbal and written communication responsibilities.Please be advised that the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) does not offer sponsorship for employment visas to employees or potential employees. Additional Comments For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
