Overview
PROJECT MANAGER (SASPO):
Bowhead seeks a DMSMS Project Manager to assist the Strategic Alternate Sourcing Program Office (SASPO) contract located at Tinker AFB, OK. The DMSMS Program Manager supports SASPO's Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Material Shortages (DMSMS) Management and Planning Support effort with outreach and technical advice to 150+ USAF Program Offices in the implementation of DMSMS plans programs. Bowhead also provides advisory and assistance services (A&AS) for Source Approval Request (SAR) Packages Engineering Support, for Alternate Sourcing Reverse Engineering and Repair Development (RE/RD) Support for SASPO.
Responsibilities
Developing Program management policies and procedures with Government staff.
Developing Logistics processes and procedures, to include, but not limited to, performing technical and logistical analysis and assisting with repair concepts.
Conducting training sessions and workshops for USAF Program Offices on DMSMS best practices, policy updates, and the implementation of effective DMSMS plans. This includes developing training materials and delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
Acting as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to program office personnel on DMSMS mitigation strategies and obsolescence management
Qualifications
BA/S in relevant field in addition to a minimum of five (5+) years of program and logistics management experience.
Demonstrated knowledge/experience in the following areas:
Program management policies and procedures.
Logistics processes and procedures, to include, but not limited to, performing technical and logistical analysis and assisting with repair concepts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with or supporting weapon system program offices within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Air Force (USAF).
Demonstrated experience in public speaking and presenting technical information to diverse audiences, including large groups of program management professionals.
Familiarity with DMSMS plans and establishment of teams.
Familiarity with obsolescence management practices.
Experience in curriculum development.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. A minimum of three (3) years US residence is required for a Public Trust clearance at this location.
