Job Purpose:

This position operates on first shift, Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm. Overtime may be required.

Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers.

Education / Training:

High school diploma or equivalent required;

Associate's degree or higher level of education preferred;

Key Job Elements:

Minimum Skills

Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals;

Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs;

Assist others in making travel arrangements;

Assist others in preparing travel expense reports;

Create, maintain, and enter information into databases;

Operate a variety of office equipment, telephones, scanners, fax, copiers etc.;

Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing;

Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material;

Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Advanced Skills

Compose, @type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports;

Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance;

Utilize databases to research and prepare reports;

Schedule operational activities;

Coordinate operational activities;

Train personnel;

Perform payroll functions, such as maintaining timekeeping information and processing and submitting payroll.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications, Experience, Education

Skill Level I - Entry level with basic system's knowledge;

Skill Level II - 2-5 years of experience;

Skill Level III - 5+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology;

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction;

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions

Strength - Must be able to lift 40 lbs;

Motion - The position is primarily in an office setting requiring sitting at the desk the majority of the day;

Vision/Hearing Requirements - May spend long periods of time in front of computer screen;

Work Environment- Will spend the majority of time in office environment, although exposed occasionally to plant facilities requiring exposure to hot and cold environments along with noise exposure;

Emotional Demands - Must have good communications skills;

Safety - Not a safety sensitive position but does requires the use of PPE when in a production environment.
