Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of our accounts payable processes. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

Reconcile accounts to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Perform regular check runs and handle payment processing in a timely manner.

Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data.

Enter financial data into systems with precision and attention to detail.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address invoice inquiries and payment issues.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.

Generate reports and analyze data to support financial decision-making.

Assist with month-end closing activities as required.

Maintain organized records for audits and future reference. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, and QuickBooks Online.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

Ability to perform account reconciliation with accuracy.

Familiarity with invoice processing and coding procedures.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
